Police helicopter called after car fails to stop

Police are still hunting one man who fled after a car chase involving the police helicopter.

A police patrol pursued the car through Medway after it failed to stop on Frindsbury Hill, Wainscott, just before 6.30pm.

The helicopter was called in to help pinpoint the car, and one man has been taken into custody.

Another man is still at large, and police are searching the area.

A police spokesman said: "A vehicle reportedly failed to stop when requested to do so by officers.

"A pursuit was authorised and the police helicopter was called to assist. The vehicle has since come to a stop and it is reported that two men decamped.

"One man has been located and arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the other."
