Police are hunting for a car which failed to stop for officers in Chatham.

Just after 11.30am officers attempted to stop a car with defective brake lights in Capstone Road.

The driver made off, sparking a police chase into the Lordswood area.

Eight police cars were seen in the area and the helicopter has also joined in the search.

A police spokesman said: "At this time the vehicle remains outstanding."
