Two arrested after report of rape in alleyway near Morrisons off Princes Avenue, Walderslade

Two men have been arrested following an alleged rape in an alleyway.

Police say a 27-year-old man from Rainham and a 30-year-old man from Chatham have been arrested on suspicion of rape following the alleged attack in a passageway off Princes Avenue, Walderslade, in the early hours of Thursday.

Both have been released on bail pending further investigation until Friday December 16.

Police were called to the scene at 1.45am on Thursday, and footpaths and a field were taped off while officers investigated.

Reports on social media said police had taped off areas behind Morrisons and people reported seeing forensic officers.
