Police in Chatham investigate assault near Luton Arches

A man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in Chatham.
 
Kent Police was called just after 6pm today (June 20) to reports the man, 19, had been assaulted in Magpie Hall Road, near Luton Arches.

Officers have cordoned-off part of the road and are making inquiries at the scene.
 
A spokesman for police in Medway said: "He is being taken to hospital with a head injury, which is not life threatening."
