Police release photo of Chatham murder victim Steve Berry

Detectives investigating the murder of Chatham man Steve Berry have released a photo of the victim.

Mr Berry's body was found in his flat in Kinross Close on Sunday, July 12.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Pledger, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "We have released a photograph of the victim and are asking for anyone who thinks they may have seen him in the days prior to him being found to contact police as their information may help with our enquiries.

"At this stage, information suggests Mr Berry was last seen on the Friday afternoon and therefore it is important that anyone else who thinks they may have seen or heard from him after this time contacts police."

Two Chatham men have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 46-year-old was arrested on July 13 and a 28-year-old was arrested on Sunday July 26.

Both have been released on bail until 9 September pending further enquiries.
