Police appeal for witnesses after a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van set on fire at Broom Hill Road, Strood

Police are appealing for information after an alleged arson attack on a van in Strood.

A white Mercedes Benz Sprinter van, parked in Broom Hill Road was set ablaze at about 9.30pm on Saturday 29 March. The fire caused damage to the front of the car and the bumper to melt.

The suspects are described as two men, aged between 18 and 30.

PC Martin Marenghi said: `I would encourage any witnesses or anyone with information to contact police.

"I am particularly keen to speak with two women who are thought to have walked past the van just minutes before the fire started as they might have witnessed the incident or have information that could help police with their enquiries."
