Driver caught doing 120mph on A2 at Rochester

A driver has been pulled over after undertaking other cars on the A2 in rainy conditions at 120mph.

The motorist was apprehended late on Thursday night in Rochester.

It happened on the same day three people tragically lost their lives in a crash involving a Mercedes and lorry on the A2 near Canterbury.

Police tweeted news of the incident, saying: "A2 Rochester, vehicle seen driving in excess of 120mph in the wet! Undertaking vehicles in lane 2 and 3, driver reported for dangerous driving! Unbelievable."
