A cash machine outside Rainham station was ram raided in the early hours of this morning

A cash machine outside a train station was ram raided in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Rainham station in Station Road just before 3am today.

A number of officers, working alongside Kent Police were still at the scene at 11am.

A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) said: “We were called to Rainham station following reports of damage to a cash machine.

“Colleagues from Kent Police also attended and found a cash machine had been damaged.

“Officers are still at the scene. No arrests have been made, and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 42 of 26/05/15.
