Lower Rainham Road closed due to sinkhole

A diversion is in place following the discovery of a sinkhole.

Part of Lower Rainham Road between Lower Featherby Road and Eastcourt Lane, Rainham, has been closed.

Repair teams have been alerted to the site, and a diversion has been put in place.

The repair is expected to take place over the new few days.

Medway Council apologised for any inconvenience caused.

In Faversham, two roads have been closed after a sewer collapsed and a void opened up following heavy rain overnight.
