Two members of staff assaulted at The Royal George in Chatham High Street

Two members of staff at a pub were assaulted on Thursday evening (September 5).

One is said to have been punched in the face at The Royal George in High Street, Chatham, between 6pm and 6.30pm.

Shortly afterwards another member of staff was assaulted in New Road.

A 41-year-old man from Chatham has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is being questioned by police.

Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who might have any information to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to speak to a man on crutches, who could have information that might help the investigation.
