Police appeal after masked robber threatens staff at Coral bookmakers in Lordswood at knifepoint

Terrified staff at a bookies were forced to hand over cash by a masked robber, who threatened them at knifepoint.

The two workers were confronted by the suspect at Coral bookmakers in Admirals Walk, Lordswood.

He demanded cash from the pair, before fleeing on foot.

The robbery happened between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday, February 10, but police have only just released details as they launch an appeal for witnesses.

Detective Constable Stewart Catt said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victims, who were left shocked and angered at what they had been put through.

"I encourage anyone with information to get in touch to help us track down the person responsible."
