Man dies after car hits wall in Cliffe Road in Strood

A man has died after the car he was driving hit a wall in Strood yesterday when he suffered a cardiac arrest.

The 68-year-old, from north Kent, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The grey VW Polo he was in struck the wall of a property as it approached the Goddington Road junction and crossed the road.

The Kent Air Ambulance, which sent a car to the scene, said he suffered a cardiac arrest at about 4.15pm.

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the crash, but officers want to hear from anyone who might have seen the vehicle in the moments before.
