A woman passenger in a taxi had to be cut free after a shunt between two vehicles.

The accident happened on Maidstone Road, Chatham yesteday (Monday).

Firefighters from Medway used a long-board stretcher to get her out of the cab after fears that she may have suffered neck injuries.

Part of the road near Chatham Town Football Club was closed for a shortwhile around midday.

Nobody else was injured.
