Two more teenagers accused of the murder of 17-year-old Kyle Yule appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

The pair - a boy, 17, from Gillingham and a boy, 16, from London - are also accused of affray.

They spoke only to be identified as they stood in the dock at the brief hearing. They were remanded in custody and will enter pleas on March 28.

Judge Adele Williams ordered that they should not be identified because of their age “until further notice”.

It brings the number of youths charged with murdering the Gillingham teenager to four.

Kyle was fatally stabbed in East Street as he tried to flee to his home in nearby Hamilton Road on Friday, October 6.

Victor Maibvisira, 19, of St John’s Road, Gillingham, and a boy, 16, from Sittingbourne, who also cannot be identified, have denied murder and affray.

They will all stand trial on April 9. It is expected to last three weeks.

Maibvisira has further denied possessing a knife and making threats with it on Sunday, October 1, five days before the alleged attack.

A previous hearing was told Kyle was chased from a car and stabbed under his right armpit as rival gangs from Chatham and Gillingham clashed.

A tyre on the car in East Street was slashed when the violence broke out in the early evening.

Maibvisira’s nationality was given as Zimbabwean and the other teenager’s as Irish.

Two teenagers aged 18 and a 15-year-old boy who were on bail, have been released without charge.

Three others, a boy aged 15, and two men, aged 20, and who were previously released under investigation will also face no further action.

A 15-year-old boy from Croydon remains on bail until Friday, January 19.
