Thug Graham Troup, of Constitution Road, Chatham, jailed for eight years

A thug who stabbed a man in an unprovoked attack has been jailed for eight years.

Graham Troup, 41, of Constitution Road, attacked a man at a home in the Luton Road area of Chatham in June this year.

The victim, in his 40s, suffered injuries to his head, arms and hands.

Officers were called and found Troup hiding in a nearby property.

He was arrested and later charged.

Troup appeared at Maidstone Crown Court and was jailed after pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm.

He will have to serve a further two years on licence.

DC Amy Edwards said: “This sustained and motiveless attack was launched while the victim was in the safety of their own home.

“Troup is a clear danger to the public, and I would like to thank the victim for their bravery and their help in ensuring he was given a long sentence.”
