Two car crash on M2 between Chatham and Strood is causing delays

Motorists faced delays on the M2 this morning after a two car crash between Chatham and Strood.

One lane was closed earlier due to the smash, which happened at about 8am. It has now been reopened.

The crash happened on the London-bound carriageway between J3 A229 for Chatham and Rochester and J2 A228 for Strood.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called at 8.01am following a collision between two cars near Junction 3 on the M2.

"Injuries have been reported, a person has been taken to a local hospital for treatment."
