A van caught fire on a busy roundabout in Chatham.

Firefighters were called to the Taddington Roundabout, at junction 3 of the M2 coastbound for Chatham and Rochester, just after 11.30am to reports a van had caught fire.

The blaze is believed to have started in the engine compartment of small commercial van, which spread to a grass verge on the roundabout.

One lane of the A2045 Walderslade Woods was closed, but has now reopened.
