Local heroes will have their moment in the spotlight tomorrow at the Pride in Medway gala night.
Almost 80 people have been put forward for this year’s awards and all were honoured at a certificate presentation in January.
Since then the judges have whittled that number down to around 35 finalists.
They have been invited to a dinner and presentation at the Universities at Medway’s Pilkington building, Chatham Maritime.
Former Gills’ player and manager Andy Hessenthaler will present prizes and Meridian presenter Sangeeta Bhabra will introduce the finalists.
Each of the sponsors will hand over their own award followed by the announcement of this year’s overall winner.
Last year Caroline and Matt Loughrey won for their fundraising efforts for CLIC Sargent following the death of daughter Emily Rose.
The sponsors are Medway Council, mhs homes, University of Kent, E.ON, Southern Water and Medway Messenger.
