But the night was also jazzy and soulful with performances from 90s legend Gabrielle, who hit all the right notes with her smash hits its including, Dreams, Give Me A Little More Time and Out of Reach.

The timeless singer who has been working with DJ and songwriter Naughty Boy, also sung some of her newer stuff which is a mix of pop and soul in only a style the 90s singer can pull off.

Speaking before the gig, the singer said: “People want to hear the old stuff.

“As much as I have new stuff and like to mix it up, I never walk away without performing those sorts of songs and people sing along to those songs and hopefully hum along to the ones they don’t know.

“It would not be a Gabrielle show if I didn’t sing that stuff.”

Warming up the gig was new jazz talent, Ray Estaire, 29, who warmed up the crowd with her unique colourful jazz style.

The singer-songwriter, who has been performing from an early age, even managed to pull off a Bruno Mars, track in her own unique style.

With a background combining Jamaican, Native American, and Scottish ancestry Ray who said she had been influenced by Gabrielle, complemented both artists who were on after her.

The night was a mix of brilliant tracks, fun times and those who never went along - missed a real trick.
