Woman taken to hospital after head on crash with van in Breach lane, Upchurch

A woman had to be taken to hospital after a head on crash with a van.

The male driver of the van and the woman in her car were travelling in opposite directions along Breach lane, Upchurch at around 7pm last night.

A spokesman from Kent Fire and Rescue said: "The road wasn't wide enough for both of them and the two vehicles collided.

"It was mostly isolated to the drivers side on both vehicles.

"We were called to the scene and the man was already out of the van when we got there, but the woman was still sat in her car."

She had suspected spinal injuries and firefighters had to cut off the roof of her car to get her out.

The woman was taken to hospital on a spinal board by ambulance crews.
