Police called to brawl in Gillingham High Street

A woman was treated for cuts to her feet after a glass bottle was thrown in a High Street brawl this afternoon.

Police were called to Gillingham High Street just before 3.40pm to reports of a fight, and ambulance crews were called to help the injured woman.

It is not certain whether the victim had been hurt during the fight or had trodden on broken glass afterwards.

Witnesses reported seeing a large amount of blood on the pavement but the victim's injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

No arrests were made and police continue to make inquiries.
