Woman hurt in Rainham town centre crash

A pedestrian has been injured after being hit by a car.

Emergency services were called to Maidstone Road, Rainham, at 4.30pm to reports of a road traffic collision.

It was reported a black Toyota Yaris was in collision with a female pedestrian.

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service were at the scene.

The road was closed at the junction with the A2 until 4.50pm.

The woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
