Police drop hunt for Rochester 'sex attacker' after woman's claims of assault in Palm Drive

Police say they are no longer investigating after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted by a man in Rochester.

Officers were in the Palm Drive area yesterday making house to house enquiries following the report on Saturday.

But today a spokesman for the force said officers are no longer investigating.

The force had earlier issued an appeal for information to the alleged attack.

They had been seeking information about a man described as 6ft, with a tattoo on his left arm and a ring in his lip.
