Police were called following reports a woman has become stuck on the pedestrian section of Rochester Bridge.
They received an emergency call shortly before 4.10pm.
It is believed the woman was disabled.
A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene to ensure the person’s safety.
"The incident was resolved shortly after 5pm."
