Woman treated for smoke inhalation after breathing in smoke in Chatham kitchen fire

A woman was treated for the effects of breathing in smoke after a small kitchen fire in Chatham.

Firefighters were called out after reports of smoke coming out of a terraced home in Pagitt Street in Chatham at around 2am today.

They found a small fire in the kitchen of the two-storey property.

Crews used a high pressure hose reel before clearing away the smoke with a ventilation fan.

A woman, thought to be in her forties, was treated. No-one else was injured, and it's not known what caused the fire.
