Gillingham allow Finn O'Mara to rejoin Bostik Premier side Folkestone Invicta on loan

Young Gills defender Finn O’Mara has rejoined Folkestone Invicta on loan.

O’Mara, 18, played nine games for Neil Cugley’s Bostik Premier side earlier this season, before being recalled.

Folkestone travel to Wingate & Finchley on Saturday.

He made his Gills debut at Blackburn, coming off the bench, before starting his first game days later against Colchester in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Another start came against Portsmouth, a game the Gills lost 1-0.

His only other involvement since then came in the Checkatrade Trophy match against Reading.

The Gills currently have plenty of cover defensively, with both Ben Nugent and Alex Lacey back from injury.

His loan runs up to an including Folkestone’s game against Dulwich Hamlet on January 6.
