Gillingham keeper Tom Hadler signs two-year contract

Gillingham keeper Tom Hadler has signed a new two-year deal to stay at the club.

The 19-year-old, who has had loan spells with the likes of Folkestone and Tonbridge, will provide competition for the number one spot after Glenn Morris was released at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

Gills are still waiting for keeper Stuart Nelson to agree a new deal at Priestfield.

Hadler said: "I'm relishing the opportunity and hopefully I can really progress over the next two years.

"I feel like I'm ready to step-up and push for a place in the first team.

"Justin Edinburgh has been fantastic since he came in, he's look after me and kept on encouraging me to imrpove.

"Hopefully I can repay his faith in me in the forthcoming years."
