Goalkeeper Glenn Morris has signed on for another year at Gillingham.

Morris finished last season as Gills' no.1 after ousting Stuart Nelson for the keeper shirt.

The 31-year-old stopper ended the season with 12 appearances to his name.

His displays at the back end of the 2014/15 season prompted manager Justin Edinburgh to offer him a new one-year deal.

Prior to Edinburgh’s arrival, Morris was used as a back-up to Nelson, who has since been made available.

Morris joined the Gills at the start of last season having previously played for Leyton Orient, Southend and Aldershot.

The arrival of Morris completes a busy day at Priestfield following the signings of former Port Vale striker Ben Williamson and the capture of left-back Bradley Garmston.

Boss Justin Edinburgh said: "Glenn has been a model professional from the first day I walked through the door. He was patient in waiting for his opportunity, and once he did, he was very impressive.

“The fact he has committed to us for another year is great news for everybody at the club and I look forward to working with him ahead of the 2015-16 season.”
