Orient finished one place outside the League 2 play-offs last season.

Andy Hessenthaler ended the season in charge of the Orient first-team following their decision to remove Kevin Nolan from the job.

Hessenthaler joined the Os last summer as assistant to Ian Hendon, having previously been no.2 to Justin Edinburgh at the Gills. He stayed on when Hendon was sacked in January.

Tickets for the match are available from Orient on the day of the game priced at £10 for adults, £5 for under-18s and £3 for under-11s. Kick-off is at 3pm.

It is the third game so far on Gills’ pre-season calendar.

Gillingham will travel to Dartford’s Princes Park on Tuesday, July 26th.

Edinburgh’s side will also be heading into Essex, to face National League side Braintree.

The non-league side announced the fixture last week, with the Gills set to visit Braintree’s Avanti Stadium on Tuesday, July 19 (kick-off 7.45pm).
