Gillingham sign defender Connor Ogilvie on loan from Tottenham

Defender Connor Ogilvie has joined Gillingham from Tottenham on loan for six months.

Ogilvie, a left-back who can also play at centre-half, signed a new two-year deal at Spurs this week.

The 21-year-old is a former England under-16 and under-17 international and has made 42 appearance over two loan spells at Stevenage.

Ogilvie said: “I can’t wait to get started to be honest. I’m looking forward to it and I want to be playing games regularly and hopefully I can get that here and push on.”

Gills manager Ady Pennock said: “I’m really pleased to secure Connor’s signature.

“He’s got pedigree having come through the youth ranks at Tottenham and what is an added bonus for us is that he has experience of playing league Football.

“He can play in the centre or on the left so he certainly gives us options.”
