Gillingham sign former Bolton striker Conor Wilkinson

Striker Conor Wilkinson has joined Gillingham on a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old has made the move on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers.

He spent much of last season on loan at Chesterfield - scoring twice against the Gills in a 3-3 draw last September.

“I’m delighted to get it over the line," said Wilkinson. "It’s been going on for a while now so it’s nice to get here and sign everything.

“Ady and Peter spoke very highly of the club and now I’m just looking forward to pre-season and getting up to speed.”

The striker came through Millwall's youth system before joining Bolton in 2013. He had loan spells at Oldham, Barnsley and Newport.

The 6ft 3in striker has also represented the Republic of Ireland at under-17, 19 and 21 level.
