Invicta Dynamos top their Southern Cup group after holding Streatham Redskins and beat Solent Devils in the league

Invicta Dynamos made league and cup progress over the weekend.

A 4-4 draw against Streatham Redskins in the Southern Cup put them through to the semi-finals.

They followed that up with a 9-5 win over Solent Devils on Sunday.

Invicta made a great start to their game against Solent, going 3-0 up in the first period at Silver Blades.

Nicky Lewis and Fowler (2) grabbed the goals to put the Gillingham side in charge early on.

Solent pulled a couple back before birthday-boy Andy Smith scored a crucial fourth for thehosts.

Anthony Leone made it 5-2 and Fowler added a sixth before Solent scored their third.

Two goals from Steve Osman put the Mos out of sight in the third period and Adam McNicoll also scored as the match ended 9-5. They stay sixth in South 1.

The Mos showed their fighting spirit in the cup.

Streatham had twice taken the lead in the opening period, before but Callum Fowler and Billy Phillips levelled.

The hosts were again infront in the second period, leading 3-2, going into the last.
A fourth Redskins goal left the Mos in trouble but a double from Juraj Huska pulled the scores level once more.

The result saw the Mos top the group to go through to the semi-final.
