It may not be the most high profile of sports but Amy Campbell is certainly making a big impression in the world of synchronised swimming.

She was named Junior sportsperson of the year after winning her first international gold medal at the Primorje Cup in Croatia in June and is national schools and British team champion.

“I only learnt to swim at the age of 10 and then I was introduced to synchronised swimming and it went from there,” said Campbell, who has trials for the senior and junior GB squads in January to look forward to.
