Gillingham striker Luke Norris set to be fit for League 1 clash against Swindon

Justin Edinburgh hopes his side can rekindle their top form in the comfort of familiar surroundings.

The Gills boss celebrates a year in the job this weekend as his men take on Swindon at Priestfield.

His team sit third in League 1, dropping a place in midweek, but with just one win in four, Edinburgh hopes the three homes games during February can help get the points ticking over again.

Edinburgh said: “We have had a bit of indifferent form of late and have to try and regain that real consistency and that run of form that we had prior to the Wigan game.

“We have to look to make home comforts count. We have been fantastic here this season and if we can continue, that then the next three or four games are going to be valuable for us.”

Home games against Barnsley and Chesterfield later this month sit either side of a trip to Oldham.

Gillingham are likely to have Luke Norris available but left-back Bradley Garmston is a doubt.
Norris limped out of last weekend’s defeat to Blackpool with an ankle injury and Garmston has been nursing a hamstring injury.

Norris had a scan on Monday and nothing abnormal was detected.

Edinburgh said: “It was good news because it came back that there are no worries there.
He has had problems with his ankles and it is just a case of speaking with him and having a better understanding of managing it and understanding it.”
