Norris said: “I have been doing a lot of work with Steve about getting across the front of people and he has drilled it into me for the last few weeks.

“It’s something I have tried doing over the last few games.

“Some haven’t come off but it was a good ball in from Brennan. Hessy dummied it on purpose and with the pace of the cross, I just helped it on its way.

“Steve Lovell knows his stuff and I get on well with him. He talks a lot of sense.

“What he has said to me over the last few weeks has helped me and I have taken it on board.

“He has done it for many years here and knows what he is talking about. He has done it, lived it and played it and you’re going to take that kind of advice on.”
