Injury problems have returned to make life difficult for Gills boss Peter Taylor.

Taylor was able to recall striker Danny Kedwell to the side for Saturday's game at Rochdale after almost two months out, but has to put up with other new injuries.

Callum Davies and Joe Martin both missed out at the weekend and Kortney Hause limped away from the action at Spotland with a knee injury.

“We are not a lucky team at the moment and to get the injuries we got hurt us,” said Taylor.

“We had Joe Martin back at home (on Saturday) with a bad back that keeps coming from playing football and so we had to play Kortney Hause back there. Then all of a sudden he gets a knee injury. We aren’t getting a great deal of luck.”

Davies will miss Tuesday's home game against Preston and also the weekend match with Crawley.

“He got a kick in the game (last) Saturday and it just got worse in the week,” explained Taylor. “He could be out for a couple of weeks as well. Callum has no chance and with Kortney Hause we still don’t know."

Doug Loft will also miss out on Tuesday night for the second of his three-game ban.
