Wagstaff missed the start of the season after suffering an Achilles injury at Billericay, just eight minutes after taking to the pitch.

The summer signing finally made his Gills debut in September against Bradford but continued to be troubled by injury until finally getting a prolonged run in the team from November onwards.

He has been limited to 28 appearances this season.
