Manager Kevin Watson has issued his Chatham players with an ultimatum ahead of Saturday's crucial FA Cup clash at Whyteleafe.

The Chats boss watched his side throw away a two-goal lead against Brentwood in Ryman League, Division 1 North on Tuesday and fears some of his squad are just not good enough.

But if their recent sub-standard display is down to lack of effort or disobedience, Watson has promised to make changes.

He said: “I’m fed up of saying the same things to players and them not learning. It’s either that they can’t do it, they don’t understand or they won’t do it.

“I’m starting to think some of them can’t do it. If they won’t do it, they need to move on. I won’t have players who won’t do what they’re asked.”

The trip to Whyteleafe, who sit third in Southern Counties East, is the first time Chatham have played in the FA Cup second qualifying round since 1995.
