A motorist who was injured after falling from his car on the M2
is out of hospital.
Daniel Irwin was taken to the Royal London Hospital after the
incident between the Chatham and Gillingham turn-offs on June
19.
He suffered burns to his arms, legs and back, plus cuts to his face
and head.
Traffic was brought to a standstill for about three hours on the
coastbound carriageway.
Mr Irwin, 22, left
hospital on Tuesday afternoon and is staying at his mother’s home
in Iwade, near Sittingbourne.
Mrs Irwin said: “He needs to have some physio on his left hand and
his other injuries seem to be getting better.”
She said her son had “not really talked” about how he came to fall
from the car.
Kent Police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are
still being investigated.
