It's a shame we did loose Chapter School and Temple, but the Academy is like a new start for us all.
It's good that the school as officially opened and welcomes anyone to be able to join, and it is good that we will be soon getting a new building.
I reckon that the Academy wil help the younger student's futures, and other pupils that are hopefully be going to join in future years.

Carnation Road is problematic for drivers and pedestrians at the best of times being one "lane". The crossing on Watling Street provides some safety but there has been accidents involving child vs vehicle.

I'm all for the academic growth for today's children but transport, traffic flow and the increased risk of accidents (not forgetting how many residents surrounding temple complained) is a concern

    Summary of Temple

    Temple School
    Teachers rather cordial

    Hardly deplorable
    Sometimes a drool

    The school’s dilapidated
    Somewhat outdated

    Alas it has closed
    Presumably booked to be bulldozed

    I can’t say I’m peeved
    Nor that I’m relieved

    I dwell in ambiguity
The Academy will create some unity

    The ending is near
    Although not feared

    Thrift is desired
    If to be revived

I'm glad this school is finally opened. Being a student in my final year I'm pleased that the academic 'bar' has been raised. This school is going to improve my future, and many more boys and girls in Medway!

Atleast every teacher is now fully trained, and our buildings are not falling apart!
