Users of a charity which helps people with mental illness train
to use computers are celebrating at the news that it has been given
a last-minute reprieve from closure.
The Winfield Trust in Medway had been earmarked for closure due
to lack of money but in an eleventh hour u-turn Medway Council
agreed to fund the charity until the end of the year.
A scout leader is due to be sentenced after admitting indecency
with a 12-year-old boy.
Shaun Clark, of the 2nd Cliffe troop, pleaded guilty to two
charges of sexual assault on a child under 13 between January 1
2007 and July 1 last year.
