Woman injured in Medway

woman has was injured after being hit by a car.
The woman, who has not been named,
was struck by a black Hyundai in Best Street, Chatham, at
about 12.45pm today.
The Kent Air Ambulance and land ambulance were called
to the scene with police, and the air ambulance landed on
Jacksons Field, in Rochester.
The air ambulance but was not used in the end as
the woman, who was in her 40s, was taken to Medway Maritime
Hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The woman's in injuries are no longer thought to be
life-treatening.
Best Street and nearby Railway
Street, close to the Tap N Tin pub were closed for several
hours and a diversion has been put in place.
Nobody else was hurt.
