Looking for a personalised card for Mother's day? Then why not
buy one and help a charity at the same time.
Twenty five per cent of sales has been promised to CPC Kent, in
View Road, Cliffe Woods by card company Winston And Harry.
The company is run by Martin Lett, who works with his two sons
and lives in Rochester.
He said: "We have been supporting the charity on and off for
quite a few years.
"Walking around the centre brings a tear to the eye and I just
thought if Winston And Harry could help, we would."
The company, based in Bexleyheath, much like Moonpig, offers
personalised cards and gifts for special occasions. It is named
after Mr Lett's two sons' dogs, Winston and Harry, which are both
British bulldogs.
CPC Kent provides life skills to those with cerebral palsy and
also offers care in the community services, a day centre and the
Smiley Steps, a conductive education centre for children up to the
age of five.
Three Medway Messenger reporters are currently training to take
part in the Three Peaks Challenge for the charity and raise at
least £1,500.
Karen Dockwray, marketing and fundraising co-ordinator for CPC,
said: "We are thrilled that WinstonandHarry.com will be donating 25
per cent of all its sales to the charity. I just hope that
everyone will want to buy a card for mum from them
as Mother's Day approaches.
"We urge all Medway Messenger readers to visit the website and
quote our charity code CPC25 to help raise funds for children with
cerebral palsy."
