Duchess of Cornwall visits Rochester airport
Comments |

Medway welcomed royalty with a visit from Camilla, Duchess of
Cornwall.
She met members of Medway Aircraft Preservation Society, at
Rochester airport, on Thursday.
Members of the group welcomed the royal visitor and showed her
around their workshop, where they are currently restoring a Boulton
Paul Defiant.
The Duchess was presented with a series of gifts by MAPS,
including a scale model of the Defiant and two books written by
members of the group.
She was also made an honorary member of the society.
Malcolm Moulton, chairman of the group, said: "HRH took a great
interest in MAPS, how it was created and the work we've done.
"We know she really did enjoy her visit as much as we enjoyed
having her with us."
MAPS also arranged for the Kent Spitfire to do a flypast, which
was watched by the Duchess as she stood outside with members of the
society.
