Power cut affects Rochester homes
Comments |

Nineteen homes in Rochester
spent nine hours without power today.
People living in Warren Wood
Road woke up to discover the outage, which was reported to UK Power
Networks at 6am.
A spokesman said the disruption
was caused by an underground cable fault.
Engineers visited the scene and
restored power at just after 3:30pm.
A number of workers spent the
afternoon digging down to reach the cable in the garden of
pensioners Paulette, 70 and Brian Cox, 73.
Mrs Cox said it was the second
power cut within a matter of days. On Thursday evening supplies
were down from 4pm to 11pm.
