Man and teen arrested for alleged attempted murder in Gillingham

A man and a teenage boy have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was admitted to hospital with a suspected stab wound.

Police were called to Windmill Road, Gillingham, at around 2.50am today following an alleged assault by a group of around seven.

Two men were arrested nearby as paramedics gave vital medical help to the injured man.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, where he was treated for the wound to his left thigh. He is said to be in a a stable but life-threatending condition.

The two arrested are a 17-year-old from the Rochester area and a 20-year-old from the Gillingham area.
