A teenager has been cut free from her car after skidding in icy conditions in Strood last night.

The 19-year-old woman's Peugeot 106 crashed in Whitewall Road, on the Medway City Estate, in Strood, just before midnight.

Firefighters were called and cut the roof off the vehicle so the woman could be got out safely.

The woman, who was complaining of back pain, was then taken to hospital.
