Have your say on University Technical College, sponsored by Medway Council and the University of Greenwich, planned at Chatham Docks
People are able to have their say on plans for a University Technical College in Medway this week.
A six-week consultation is being held to assess opinion on the idea for the college which will take its first students from September next year.
The UTC, which is being sponsored by Medway Council and the University of Greenwich, will be built at Chatham Docks after the government agreed to buy the site.
The new-style vocational college, specialising in engineering and construction, will cost £10 million and be sited on a 26 acres in Pier Road, owned by Peel Land and Property.
Once the college is at full capacity it will have students from 14 to 19, who will have no uniforms or homework but be expected to be smartly-dressed have will have longer days.
Anyone wishing to find out more or to have their say should go along to Medway Council offices at Gun Wharf, Chatham, from 10am to 12noon on Friday.
