Four players from Parkwood Judo Club have been selected for the England squad.

Following an impressive showing by club members at the National Championships, the four have been chosen to enrol on the England Squad programme.

Lanina Solley, Shannara Harrild, Stuart Gallimore and Kyle Myers have been selected for the programme which aims to prepare players for progression up the British Judo Association’s World Class Performance pathway.

The ultimate goal is to deliver players into the GB Junior programme with the necessary technical, tactical, physical, mental and lifestyle attributes to achieve success at international level.

Myers, who recently became the national champion in his age and weight, has also been selected for the England Talent development programme where the elite from the English squad are given extra training and competition chances.
