Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish in hunting a new netminder following Andy Moffat's departure

Invicta Dynamos will
begin their assault on the league this weekend when they host last
year’s play-off champions Chelmsford Chieftains.
But the Mos will be
completing their season without netminder Andy Moffat, after he
bowed out due to family reasons.
Coach Kevin Parrish
(pictured) has been in the hunt for a replacement this
week.
He said: "Andy has a new
job and a new-born baby and he’s been struggling to cope with that
and ice hockey.
"He has been excellent for us
and last year I kept playing him more than I should have because
there was nobody else capable of coming in. We wish him
well."
David Wride has been
competing for the netminder spot this season and Parrish will bring
in another challenger this week.
He said: "We want to be able
to rotate and I am not bringing in someone just to sit on the
bench."
Invicta have played just six
games so far in NIHL South Division 1 and trail leaders Romford by
10 points.
"Romford are sitting pretty
with a 100% record and Isle of Wight aren’t too far behind but
we’ve shown we can beat the top teams already," said
Parrish.
Parrish has also lost the
services of forward Dan Fudger, after he left through work
commitments this week. Fudger made 176 appearances for Invicta,
clocking up 99 points with 41 goals and 58 assists.
Parrish said: "We came to a mutual decision. I wish him
every success in the future."
